In a fantastic world moved by "moliceiro" boats, a group of humble women makes a living from could be found in abundance in the lagoon. There they went, from market to market, selling their fried eels canned in vinegary "escabeche" sauce. Little did they know that they would prove to be the beginning of a cannery that travelled Portugal and the world.
